Anthropologist Dr. Dorothy Kennedy has specialized in ethnographic and ethnohistorical research relating to the Aboriginal cultures and history of British Columbia and Washington State.  She is known for thorough research and well-considered opinions, used within the regulatory review process and for litigation in both Canada and USA. Dr. Kennedy also prepares strength-of-claim reports for industry and First Nations. She has a broad knowledge of historical and contemporary Aboriginal issues. Kennedy has lectured internationally on Aboriginal cultures, traditional land use, and research methodology and has been a keynote speaker for private and public sector conferences, service organizations and professional development seminars, speaking on issues of Aboriginal affairs. She has experience teaching at the university level and also is a certified ESL instructor. Dr. Kennedy is a skilled author of numerous reports, books, and articles relating to First Nations. In her role as a consultant and as a Partner in BKRC, Dorothy Kennedy is open to new opportunities.
